Why WAY Matters

Facing a triple disadvantage

Young immigrant women experience overlapping barriers that few other groups face at once. WAY was designed to address all three together.

Youth Gender Migration triple disadvantage

Youth

Navigating the transition to adulthood and a first job — often without established networks or local guidance to lean on.

Gender

Confronting gender gaps in employment and pay, alongside expectations that can limit access to opportunity.

Migration background

Adapting to a new language, culture and labour market while building recognition for skills and experience.

Who WAY Is For

Built around the people who benefit

Every resource is designed with three audiences in mind — and the connections between them.
